Albert Memorial, Kensington Gardens
|
Next | |
There is some confusion on our part about where the Albert Memorial is located.
This is not a question of its physical location, but, rather what it's physical
location is called. The maps and guidebooks demarcate a large area of land in
the middle of the Kensington area of London "Hyde Park". The Albert
Memorial sits roughly in the center of the southern edge of that patch of green.
But part of the western section of Hyde Park appears to be called "Kenginston
Gardens". We're guess that this is what the area where the Albert Memorial
lives is called. We could be wrong. And since we hadn't slept in 20 hours (or
something like that) when we first encountered the memorial and tried to decide
where it was located, I would not be at all surprised if we were wrong.
