Albert Memorial, Kensington Gardens

Although it would have been more meaningful to see the film on the way over, I
watched a movie about Queen Victoria on the BA flight home. We each actually
watched several movies on the way home, whereas we did out best to get some
sleep, on the way over. If Hollywood is to be believed, Victoria had a deeply
meaningful relationship with her husband, Albert, and was resentful of her people
whom she believed prevented Albert from becoming King Albert. One of the many
ways she appears to have compensated for this is through civic rememberances
after him. The Albert Memorial is the most obvious example.
